Who is Ari
I grew up in the US, originally in Denver, Colorado, but then in Bethesda, Maryland (outside Washington, DC) for my middle and high school years. I graduated from High School in June 2016, and I am now off in the world doing all kinds of things. You can keep track of those things here, on my blog. I enjoy travelling, geocaching, and computers.
What is this website?
You are on my personal website. I use it for my blog, my professional services, and my hobbies. I am always updating it, adding things, and making different changes. If you have any feedback, ideas, or constructive criticism, please contact me.
I attended Walter Johnson High School in Bethesda, Maryland (USA). I graduated in June 2016 in the top 5% of my class. I was originally admitted to New York University (NYU), but I elected to defer my enrollment and take a gap year. I lived in Berlin and learned German (through level C1) through an independent German language school. While in Germany, I decided that the best place for me to attend university would be in Europe, and I applied to the BA International Studies program at the University of Leiden in the Netherlands. Since August 2017 I am living and studying in The Hague.
I have always loved technology, and over the years I have developed great technology and computer skills. I have lots of experience with fixing computers and other technology. During the summer of 2016 I applied these skills by working as an intern at Hilltop Consultants, an IT Managed Service Provider (MSP) and consulting firm in DC. I now independently offer a range of tech consulting services. Click here for more details.
Since 2010, my favorite hobby has been Geocaching. If you aren’t familiar with it, Geocaching is like a real-life treasure hunting game played worldwide by people (called “geocachers”) with GPS devices. More detail is available here. I’ve found more than 1600 geocaches in 19 countries and 20 US states, and counting! See more on my website’s geocaching page.
